Roller Hockey Gets Hungry

Screen Shot 2013-02-25 at 4.45.45 PMTraditionally, Bainbridge Roller Hockey League (BRHL) holds its annual three-day tournament in a field across from Bainbridge Bluegrass Festival, during the last weekend in July. This year, the Bainbridge Bluegrass Festival food vendors will be serving both the festival and the athletes (and their cheering families).

Bluegrass will be sending over fiddlers to perform for the hockey families during their competition breaks. The athletes can access the GRUB without checking into The Festival, but, oh, we’re so enticing them and their folks to join us, into the weeee hours for fiddlers and hoe down and dancin, after the sportsters finish their skatin’ competitions. We celebrate victories of the day with music and hooping and accolades!

BRHL is a co-ed, mixed-ability, recreational roller hockey league for players ages 7-17. Founded in 1996, roller hockey is one of the most popular sports on Bainbridge, and might we add, sweat producin’. All games and practices take place locally. The play is fast-paced and, well… VIG-OR-OUS.
